Prescriptions and Repeat Medications

You may obtain Prescription Only Veterinary Medications (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon, or request a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or pharmacy. Information on the prices of our medicines is available on request.

At Hampton Equine Vets, we can only prescribe medications for animals under our care. This means that we cannot process any prescription requests from non-clients. In keeping with RCVS guidelines, the animal must have had a clinical assessment prior to prescribing medication. Any animal requiring repeat prescriptions will need to have an examination every 6 months.

The charge for providing a written prescription will be £22.50 + VAT. There is no associated prescription fee if the medications are purchased from Hampton Equine Vets Ltd. Any prescriptions issued will be sent directly to a pharmacy of your choice.
